Leaving Roochaki
Dragging our heavy feet, we helped one another get loaded on to the freight transport. Healthy and energetic Soviet soldiers kept looking at us from above the horses, trying to make sure they were not leaving anybody behind. The drivers of the trucks were watching us with mixed expressions.
Only 126 out of 500 of us survived forced labor at this site.
