One thousand captives were there in this prisoners’ camp that used to be a stable. There were some members of the Japanese army sent to North Korea as well. “Is there anybody from Nara prefecture?” someone asked. “I am from Nara,” I responded. He was Mr. Katumi Kaji from Gojo city (currently 528 Kumecho Kashihara city). I met other men from Nara for the first time. They were Mr. Nishikawa from Takatori and Mr. Tanaka from Gose.
