Women in the Soviet Union Work Hard
Harvesting hay was women's responsibility. In Russia, men and women are equal. There is an ironclad rule in Russian society that only the ones who work deserve to eat. The way that Russian women work so hard following that rule is really impressive. They are well-built and as strong as men.
The way they dressed was quite bad. Due to the war, there was almost no distribution of any products for them. So some of the lucky ones altered the old clothes that used to belong to the Japanese in Manchuria. Most of the others were wearing Japanese soldiers’ jackets and shoes. They said they were very happy with the shoes because they were light. Soviet women sing cheerfully and work very hard.
