Hallucination
One day, Private Matsumoto from Suita in Osaka, who was suffering from malnutrition and freezing cold weather, had a hallucination. He thought there was food in an empty can. He kept digging into it, and I heard the noise all day. Soon the sound itself became feeble and weak. By the time that there was complete silence, he had exhausted all his power, and his life was over.
That incident made us feel so scared and desparate. We all thought the same destiny might be waiting for us the following day.
