Although we did our best to fight against the the waves of attacking Soviet planes, we could not help retreating, leaving the corpses of victims and horses of our unit, damaged tanks and trucks. Our fighting spirit faded, but there were some people who were still trying to fight back. In between fighting, they said prayers for the dead.
